1. Operator and contact
stockfactsheet.com is run by StockFactsheet. In this policy, "we" means StockFactsheet.
For privacy questions and data requests, email support@stockfactsheet.com. Replies come from the same address, under the name StockFactsheet. What we publish and how we work are described in About StockFactsheet.
2. Data we collect
The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter, no comments and no paywall. We keep no profile of any reader.
We do not ask for payment details, passwords or government ID numbers. We never sell or rent what you send us, and we never use it for ads.
Ad data handled by Google is described in section 3.2.
2.1 When you read a page
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. When your browser asks for a page, Cloudflare receives your IP address, the page address, your browser and device type, and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the page and keeps request logs under its own terms.
Our own code sets no cookie (section 3). The site loads no analytics or widget script, and we add no visitor logging of our own. Google's ad script is described in section 3.2.
2.2 When you email us
If you email support@stockfactsheet.com, we receive your email address, your name if it shows, what you write, any attachment, and the technical details in the message headers. Cloudflare forwards the message to our Gmail mailbox, hosted by Google. We send our replies through Resend.
We use what you send only to reply and to check a report. Your message may be processed with Claude, made by Anthropic, to help us reply and to check a reported error. If you report an error, you can ask us to name you in the corrections log, which never shows your email address.
3. Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. Our own code sets none. Google's ad script sets cookies, as section 3.2 explains. If Cloudflare shows you a security check, it may set its own security cookie, cf_clearance, to remember that you passed.
Our code writes one item to your browser's local storage, sf-theme, only when you pick Light or Dark in the footer or, on small screens, in the menu. Choosing System removes it. The item stays on your device and is never sent to us.
3.1 What can be stored on your device
The table lists each item, who sets it and what it is for.
| Item | Who sets it | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| sf-theme in local storage | StockFactsheet | Remembers your Light or Dark choice |
| cf_clearance, only after a security check | Cloudflare | Remembering that your browser passed a security check |
| Advertising cookies | Serving ads | |
| Consent cookies | Remembering your choice, where a consent message appears |
3.2 Advertising and Google
Once Google AdSense approves the site, Google will serve ads on some pages, each labelled "Advertisements".
Google's ad script loads on every page, including this one, even before any ad is shown. The only exceptions are error pages, such as the page shown when an address is not found. Ads are placed only on eligible content pages, never on this page or the other trust and legal pages. Ads are served by Google and are not endorsements by StockFactsheet.
The ad script loads on all those pages so that the consent message and the "Privacy choices" button work across the site.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Other ad companies that Google allows to serve ads through AdSense may also use cookies to do so. For the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google names them in its list of ad technology partners for AdSense.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of vendors' personalised ads on the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page (aboutads.info) or, in Europe, on Your Online Choices (youronlinechoices.eu). Google's page on how it uses information from sites or apps that use its services explains what it does with this data.
If you decline in the consent message, Google may still show ads, but limited or non-personalised ones.
4. Why we use your data
The table gives the reason for each use of your data, in plain words.
| What we do | Data involved | Our reason |
|---|---|---|
| Deliver the site and keep it running | Request data handled by Cloudflare | Delivering the pages you ask for needs it |
| Reply to your message and check a reported error | Your email address, your name if you give it, what you write, any attachment and the email headers | You wrote to us and asked for a reply, or reported an error for us to check |
| Name you in the corrections log | Your name | You asked to be named |
| Show ads | Cookie and device data handled by Google | To fund the site |
| Remember your consent choice | Your choice in the consent message, handled by Google | Where a consent message appears, you decide through it |
5. Your choices
You can read every page without an account and without filling in a form. You have these choices:
- Theme: pick Light, Dark or System in the footer or, on small screens, in the menu. System removes the sf-theme item.
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies and local storage. Our own code does not need them.
- Corrections log: we name you only if you ask, and you can ask us to remove your name later.
- Ads: opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or through the opt-out pages named in section 3.2.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google's Privacy & Messaging tool. The "Privacy choices" button in the footer reopens it, so they can change or withdraw their consent. Visitors in some US states see a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link from the same tool. It opens a dialog where they can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information and of personalised ads.
Visitors elsewhere, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, see no separate consent message. This policy and Google's ad settings explain their choices.
6. Retention
The table shows how long each kind of data is kept. Companies named in section 7 may keep their own copies under their own terms.
| Data | How long | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Email you send us | Only as long as we need it to reply, fix the page and keep the corrections record | Our Gmail mailbox |
| Corrections-log entry | We do not delete log entries. Your name shows only if you asked to be named, and we remove it if you withdraw credit | Supabase database |
| sf-theme | Until you pick System or clear your browser data | Your browser |
| Request logs | Under Cloudflare's own terms | Cloudflare |
| Ad data | Under Google's own terms | |
| Your choice in the consent message | Under Google's own terms |
7. Companies that handle data for the site
The table lists each company that handles data when you read the site or write to us. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. A Supabase database stores our figures and page text.
| Company | What it does | Data it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts and delivers the site, runs its DNS and forwards email sent to support@stockfactsheet.com | Request data and email you send us |
| Supabase | Runs our database in the United States (us-east-1), which stores our figures, page text and the corrections log | Your name, only if you asked to be named in the log |
| Google (Gmail) | Hosts the Gmail mailbox that receives forwarded email | Email you send us |
| Google (AdSense) | Serves ads | Cookie and device data |
| Google (consent message) | Shows the consent message | Your choice in the consent message |
| Resend | Sends our email replies | Your email address and our reply |
| Anthropic | Makes Claude, which may process a message to help us reply and to check a reported error | Your message, when Claude is used on it |
Claude, made by Anthropic, is the only AI tool we use. If another company starts to handle data for the site, this table changes first.
Google may use ad data for its own purposes under its own terms.
8. International transfers
Your data can be handled outside the country where you live. Cloudflare delivers pages from servers in many countries. Email you send us goes to a Gmail mailbox hosted by Google, which may store it in other countries. Resend and Anthropic, named in section 7, may also handle your email address or message in other countries.
Our Supabase database is hosted in the United States (us-east-1). It keeps your name only if you asked to be named in the corrections log.
Google handles ad data under its own terms. It may do so in countries other than yours.
Google handles your choice in the consent message the same way.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. The usual ones are listed below.
- Ask what we keep about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to stop using it in some cases.
- Take back a consent you gave.
- Complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
The site has no accounts, so we keep data about you only if you have written to us. Cloudflare's request logs are described in section 2.1.
To use a right, email support@stockfactsheet.com. We aim to reply within 5 business days (Monday to Friday, UAE time).
10. Not directed at children
StockFactsheet is written for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has written to us, email support@stockfactsheet.com.
11. Changes
We may change this policy, for example when a feature or a company that handles data for the site is added or removed. The dates and version number at the top show which text applies, and the version history below lists each change.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy? Email support@stockfactsheet.com or contact us. For data requests, see section 9. This policy sits alongside the terms of use and the full disclaimer.
