What the numbers show
AT&T's income statement for Q2 2026, the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026, shows revenue of USD 31.6 billion and operating income of USD 7.04 billion. That is an operating margin of 22.3%, our calculation. Pre-tax income was lower, at USD 5.82 billion, as other income and expense was a net cost, mostly interest. Net income attributable to AT&T was USD 4.63 billion, against USD 4.50 billion in Q2 2025.
AT&T's income statement has no gross profit line, and these tables show none. It lists cost of revenues in two parts, equipment and other cost of revenues, with no total. Revenue went from USD 134 billion in FY2021 to USD 126 billion in FY2025, a compound annual decline of 1.6%, our calculation. Operating margin was 19.2% in FY2025, close to the 19.3% of FY2021.
The FY2021 column carries R: the FY2022 10-K re-presented it after the WarnerMedia separation. Revenue was first reported at USD 169 billion, and AT&T stock fundamentals explains the change. FY2022 shows an operating loss of USD 4.59 billion and a loss attributable to AT&T of USD 8.52 billion. The FY2022 10-K says that year's asset impairments were mainly noncash goodwill impairments in three reporting units.
At 30 Jun 2026, total debt on AT&T's balance sheet was USD 144 billion, from USD 136 billion at 31 Dec 2025. Net debt, our calculation, was USD 126 billion after cash and short-term investments of USD 17.6 billion. The Q2 2022 10-Q re-presented the 31 Dec 2021 column, with assets from discontinued operations as one current-asset line. Total current assets there are USD 171 billion, against USD 60.0 billion first reported.
Quarterly cash flows marked D are our derivation, as a 10-Q reports cash flows year to date. Q2 2026 cash from operations was USD 10.8 billion and capital expenditure USD 5.70 billion, so free cash flow, our calculation, was USD 5.10 billion. From the FY2022 10-K on, AT&T reports these cash flows for continuing operations. On that basis, FY2021 cash from operations is USD 37.2 billion, against USD 42.0 billion first reported.
Diluted EPS was USD 0.66 per share in Q2 2026, against USD 0.62 per share in Q2 2025. The diluted share count fell from 7,219 million shares to 6,946 million shares over that year. Q4 income figures for FY2024 and FY2025 are the year less its first nine months, and Q4 diluted EPS is blank. FY2021 diluted EPS is USD 2.73 per share as re-presented, against USD 2.76 per share first reported.

- D Derived by StockFactsheet
- Fourth quarter derived as the fiscal year minus the nine-month year-to-date total.
- Goodwill plus the intangible assets the filing reports under the standard intangible-asset tags or the components our mapping lists for the company, from the same filing. Intangible assets a company shows on separate balance sheet lines under other tags, such as licences, may not be included, so for some companies this line is goodwill alone; the lines included can change when the company changes its balance sheet.
- Total debt = short-term debt + long-term debt, from the same filing.
- Total liabilities = total liabilities and equity − total equity, from the same filing.
- Combined from line items reported in the same filing (see Methodology).
- Net debt = total debt minus cash and short-term investments; a negative value is net cash.
- Free cash flow = cash from operations minus capital expenditure.
- Quarter derived from year-to-date totals: the six- or nine-month figure minus the earlier quarters.
- Shares issued minus treasury shares, from the same filing.
- Template: standard statement set (not bank or insurer).
- Arrows show direction of change only, not whether a change is good or bad.
How we got these numbers
Every figure comes from AT&T's Forms 10-Q and 10-K as filed with the SEC. Derived values are marked D and explained below.
Full method for this page
- Source documents
- Forms 10-Q (Q3 2024 to Q2 2026) and 10-K (FY2021 to FY2025)

- Calculations
- TTM = sum of the last 4 quarters. Q4 = fiscal year minus the nine-month YTD. Margins = line item ÷ revenue. FCF = cash from operations − capital expenditure. CAGR = compound annual growth across the annual table.
