How did Chipotle's 50-for-1 stock split of June 2024 change its per-share history?
After Chipotle's 50-for-1 stock split of 26 Jun 2024, we divide each per-share figure from an earlier filing by 50 and multiply each share count by 50.[1] FY2021 diluted EPS therefore reads USD 0.458 per share and the diluted share count 1,426 million shares. The FY2021 Form 10-K reported USD 22.90 per share.[5]

1 As presented in Form 10-K filed .
Chipotle's FY2025 Form 10-K says all share and per share information in it has been retroactively adjusted for the split.[1] Only the FY2021 per-share cells, and the shares-outstanding cells for FY2021 and FY2022, carry the A marker for adjusted. The FY2022 to FY2024 per-share cells come from the FY2024 Form 10-K, which already shows them on the post-split basis.[2]
Diluted EPS was USD 0.458 per share in FY2021, USD 0.64 per share in FY2022 and USD 0.89 per share in FY2023. It was USD 1.11 per share in FY2024 and USD 1.14 per share in FY2025. The diluted share count fell in each year, from 1,426 million shares in FY2021 to 1,343 million shares in FY2025. Our methodology explains how we mark adjusted figures.

- D Free cash flow = cash from operations minus capital expenditure.
Totals may not add up because of rounding.
Buybacks were USD 830 million in FY2022, USD 592 million in FY2023 and USD 1.00 billion in FY2024. Free cash flow was USD 1.51 billion in FY2024. Chipotle's FY2025 Form 10-K says it has not declared or paid any cash dividends on its common stock.[1] The same filing says Chipotle has no outstanding debt.[1]
Capital expenditure rose in each year, from USD 442 million in FY2021 to USD 666 million in FY2025. Cash from operations was USD 2.11 billion in both FY2024 and FY2025, so free cash flow was lower in FY2025. The Home Depot stock fundamentals page shows the same cash flow lines for a home improvement retailer.

- Forms 10-Q (Q3 2024 to Q2 2026) and 10-K (FY2018 to FY2025)
- Period covered
- 8 quarters and 5 fiscal years
- Calculations
- TTM = sum of the last 4 quarters. Q4 = fiscal year minus the nine-month YTD. Margins = line item ÷ revenue. FCF = cash from operations − capital expenditure. EBITDA = operating income + depreciation and amortisation (our calculation). Net debt = total debt − cash and short-term investments. CAGR = compound annual growth over three fiscal years.
- Restatements
- None in the periods shown.
- Comparator
- Each profile row compares the current value with Chipotle's own last five fiscal years, FY2021 to FY2025: the median of those five years and their range, from the lowest to the highest. A current value outside that range is drawn just past the end of the strip. Fewer than 5 covered peers exist, so there is no sector median yet.
