Lowe's 10-Q for Q3 FY2025 says it completed the acquisition of Artisan Design Group (ADG) on 2 Jun 2025. It completed the acquisition of Foundation Building Materials (FBM) on 9 Oct 2025, with a cash purchase price for each.[4] The same filing says Lowe's consolidates both on a one-month lag because of differences in reporting calendars.[4]

Year-on-year growth was 3.2% in Q3 FY2025, 10.9% in Q4 FY2025 and 10.3% in Q1 FY2026 (our calculations). Revenue was USD 20.8 billion in Q3 FY2025, USD 20.6 billion in Q4 FY2025 and USD 23.1 billion in Q1 FY2026. Q2 FY2025 revenue of USD 24.0 billion was larger than the quarters on either side of it. Quarterly revenue follows the seasons, so the growth rates compare each quarter with the same quarter a year earlier. The Lowe's financial statements page sets out the quarterly income statement, with each column linked to its filing.

How did Lowe's net debt change after it financed the FBM acquisition?

Lowe's net debt was USD 34.1 billion at 31 Jul 2026, against USD 38.9 billion at 31 Oct 2025 and USD 29.5 billion at 1 Aug 2025. Net debt, our calculation, is total debt less cash and short-term investments. The rise came in Q3 FY2025, the quarter in which the FBM acquisition closed.

Lowe's 10-K for FY2025 says the proceeds of the unsecured notes it issued and the term loan it entered into that year were designated to finance, in part, the FBM acquisition.[3] Total debt went from USD 34.7 billion at 1 Aug 2025 to USD 39.9 billion at 31 Oct 2025, and was USD 37.6 billion at 31 Jul 2026.

Cash and short-term investments were USD 5.26 billion at 1 Aug 2025, USD 1.03 billion at 31 Oct 2025 and USD 3.41 billion at 31 Jul 2026. Net debt to EBITDA, our calculation, was 2.7× over the 12 months to 31 Jul 2026. For FY2021 to FY2025 it ranged from 1.7× to 3.1×, with a median of 2.7×.

How did Lowe's share buybacks change from FY2021 to FY2025?

Lowe's spent USD 211 million on share buybacks in FY2025, the year ended 30 Jan 2026, against USD 14.1 billion in FY2022. Its 10-K for FY2025 says Lowe's paused its share repurchase program in that year.[3] Dividends paid rose from USD 1.98 billion in FY2021 to USD 2.64 billion in FY2025.

  • D Free cash flow = cash from operations minus capital expenditure.

Totals may not add up because of rounding.

Free cash flow, our calculation, was USD 7.65 billion in FY2025: cash from operations of USD 9.86 billion less capital expenditure of USD 2.21 billion. Buybacks were larger than free cash flow in FY2021 and FY2022, at USD 13.0 billion and USD 14.1 billion. Buybacks were larger than dividends paid in each year from FY2021 to FY2024, and smaller in FY2025.

Lowe's 10-Q for Q2 FY2026 shows purchases under the repurchase program in the first half of FY2026.[1] The buyback figures here are the cash flow statement's line, which can differ from the totals Lowe's reports for its repurchase program. The Home Depot stock fundamentals page sets out the same cash flow lines for the other large US home improvement retailer.

8 quarters and 5 fiscal years
Calculations
TTM = sum of the last 4 quarters. Q4 = fiscal year minus the nine-month YTD. Margins = line item ÷ revenue. FCF = cash from operations − capital expenditure. EBITDA = operating income + depreciation and amortisation (our calculation). Net debt = total debt − cash and short-term investments. CAGR = compound annual growth over three fiscal years.
Restatements
None in the periods shown.
Comparator
Each profile row compares the current value with Lowe's's own last five fiscal years, FY2021 to FY2025: the median of those five years and their range, from the lowest to the highest. A current value outside that range is drawn just past the end of the strip. Fewer than 5 covered peers exist, so there is no sector median yet.
