What the numbers show
Lowe's income statement for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended 31 Jul 2026, shows revenue of USD 26.0 billion, up 8.3% on Q2 FY2025. Operating income was USD 3.55 billion, an operating margin of 13.7%, our calculation. Net income was USD 2.40 billion, a net margin of 9.2%, also our calculation.
Annual revenue was USD 86.3 billion in FY2025, the year ended 30 Jan 2026, a compound annual decline of 2.7% from FY2021, our calculation. FY2022 ran 371 days against 364, so the growth rates for FY2022 and FY2023 carry a note. Gross margin stayed between 33.2% and 33.5% in all five years. Operating margin moved more, from 10.5% in FY2022 to 11.8% in FY2025.
On Lowe's balance sheet, total assets were USD 55.9 billion at 31 Jul 2026. Goodwill and intangibles were USD 9.67 billion of that, up from USD 588 million at the end of FY2024, after Lowe's completed two acquisitions. Total equity is negative, a deficit of USD 7.44 billion, while inventory of USD 17.7 billion made up most of current assets, which exceeded current liabilities. Net debt was USD 34.1 billion, our calculation.
In FY2025, Lowe's cash flow statement shows cash from operations of USD 9.86 billion and capital expenditure of USD 2.21 billion. Free cash flow, our calculation, was USD 7.65 billion. Over the 8 quarters shown, cash from operations ranged from USD 687 million in Q3 FY2025 to USD 4.23 billion in Q2 FY2025.
