Arrows show direction of change only, not whether a change is good or bad.

Net interest income, which includes income from Islamic financing and investing products, was AED 5.87 billion in Q2 2026, against AED 5.61 billion in Q1 2026. Non-interest income is our sum of the bank's fee and commission, foreign exchange, investment and derivative, and other operating lines. It was AED 4.30 billion in Q2 2026 and AED 3.72 billion in Q1 2026. For FY2025, net interest income was AED 20.3 billion and non-interest income AED 16.4 billion.

Year-on-year growth in operating income was 14.0% in Q3 2025 and 17.2% in Q4 2025, then 5.9% in Q1 2026 and 7.1% in Q2 2026. We derive Q4 2025 as the full year less nine months. The Q2 2025 columns for net interest income and non-interest income are blank. The H1 2026 statements re-present both lines for that quarter, a move between the two that leaves operating income as it was.

The cost-to-income ratio, our calculation, was 21.0% in Q2 2026 and between 21.4% and 25.6% in the other seven quarters. Net profit was AED 5.51 billion in Q2 2025. Over the four quarters to 30 Jun 2026, our calculation gives net profit of AED 21.2 billion.

How did First Abu Dhabi Bank's loans and customer deposits compare at 30 Jun 2026?

First Abu Dhabi Bank reported net loans of AED 661 billion and customer deposits of AED 853 billion at 30 Jun 2026, in its H1 2026 interim financial statements. Its loan-to-deposit ratio, our calculation, was 77.5%. The ratio was 73.3% at 31 Dec 2025 and 70.3% at 30 Sep 2025.

3 As presented in First Abu Dhabi Bank financial statements approved .

The H1 2026 statements say accrued interest on derivatives now sits within derivative assets and derivative liabilities. It used to sit in other assets and other liabilities. They describe the change as one of classification within the balance sheet, with no effect on how derivatives are measured. Both December 2025 figures carry the R marker, and a footnote gives the amount first reported.

Two earlier changes moved amounts between net interest income and non-interest income. The FY2024 statements show 2023 net interest income of AED 18,139 million, where the FY2023 statements had AED 18,102 million. The FY2023 statements show 2022 net interest income of AED 14,217 million, against AED 14,386 million first reported. Non-interest income moved the other way in each year, so operating income did not change.

The FY2022 statements restated 2021 diluted earnings to AED 1.10 per share from AED 1.12 per share. They adjusted the weighted share count to 11,040 million shares from 10,913 million shares for a scrip dividend.

The FY2022 statements also restated 2021 net loans to AED 409,590 million from AED 410,155 million. Customer deposits changed to AED 614,670 million from AED 614,459 million. The restatement followed the purchase price allocation for the April 2021 acquisition of Bank Audi in Egypt.

How we got these numbers

Every figure comes from First Abu Dhabi Bank's published financial statements. Derived values are marked D and explained below.

Interim and annual financial statements (FY2021 to Q2 2026)
Period covered
8 quarters and 5 fiscal years
Calculations
TTM = sum of the last 4 quarters. Q4 = fiscal year minus the nine-month YTD. Operating income = net interest income + non-interest income. Cost-to-income = operating expenses ÷ operating income (our calculation). CAGR = compound annual growth over three fiscal years.
Restatements
FY2022 net interest income, an input of the fundamentals profile, was restated or reclassified in First Abu Dhabi Bank financial statements approved (originally AED 14,386 m). Restated or reclassified figures carry the R marker; its footnote gives the originally reported value.
Comparator
Each profile row compares the current value with First Abu Dhabi Bank's own last five fiscal years, FY2021 to FY2025: the median of those five years and their range, from the lowest to the highest. A current value outside that range is drawn just past the end of the strip. Fewer than 5 covered peers exist, so there is no sector median yet.
Currency
As reported (AED); no FX conversion.
Re-keying
Figures keyed from the issuer's published statements (PDF) with our entry tool, then checked by code against the PDF's own text (the figure on its cited page, in the row with its printed label) and by our fact-check step. The column and the sign are recorded, and lists any mismatch for review.
