What the numbers show

First Abu Dhabi Bank's income statement for the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026, Q2 2026, shows operating income of AED 10.2 billion. Net profit attributable to shareholders was AED 5.72 billion. Net interest income was AED 5.87 billion, and the bank's own subtotal includes income from Islamic financing. Non-interest income, our sum of the bank's printed lines, was AED 4.30 billion, and operating expenses were AED 2.14 billion.

Operating income grew from AED 21.7 billion in FY2021 to AED 36.7 billion in FY2025, a compound annual rate of 14.0%, our calculation. Operating expenses grew more slowly, so the cost-to-income ratio, our calculation, went from 26.9% to 22.4% over those years. Net profit reached AED 21.1 billion in FY2025. FY2022 and FY2023 also include a gain on disposing of a stake in a subsidiary, shown below operating income.

The balance sheet at 30 Jun 2026 shows total assets of AED 1.41 trillion and total liabilities of AED 1.26 trillion. Customer deposits were AED 853 billion and net loans AED 661 billion. The loan-to-deposit ratio was 77.5% (our calculation), against 63.7% at 31 Dec 2023. The 31 Dec 2025 assets and liabilities are as re-presented in the H1 2026 statements and carry R.

In the cash flow statement, changes in loans and customer deposits sit under operating activities, so cash from operations tracks the balance sheet as well as profit. It was an inflow of AED 42.7 billion in FY2025 and an outflow of AED 1.02 billion in FY2024. Financing activities, including AED 8.34 billion of dividends paid, were an inflow of AED 14.9 billion in FY2025. Q2 2026 is derived, marked D, and shows an operating outflow of AED 49.4 billion.

Diluted earnings per share were AED 0.50 per share in Q2 2026, against AED 0.49 per share in Q2 2025. For FY2025 they were AED 1.85 per share, against AED 1.10 per share in FY2021 as restated, and the diluted count was 11,048 million shares. Earnings per share are measured after interest on Tier 1 capital notes. First Abu Dhabi Bank stock fundamentals covers the restated figures behind these statements.

Calculations
TTM = sum of the last 4 quarters. Q4 = fiscal year minus the nine-month YTD. Operating income = net interest income + non-interest income. Cost-to-income = operating expenses ÷ operating income (our calculation).
Restatements
FY2021 loans, net of allowance, an input of the FY2021 ratio, was restated or reclassified in First Abu Dhabi Bank financial statements approved (originally AED 410,155 m). FY2021 customer deposits, an input of the FY2021 ratio, was restated or reclassified in First Abu Dhabi Bank financial statements approved (originally AED 614,459 m).
