What the numbers show
Home Depot's income statement for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended 2 Aug 2026, shows revenue of USD 47.9 billion, up 5.7% on a year earlier. Operating margin, our calculation, went from 15.2% in FY2021 to 12.7% in FY2025, and gross margin moved little over the same run. The fiscal year is a 52- or 53-week year. FY2024 had 53 weeks, so notes sit beside the year-on-year rows for FY2024 and FY2025 and for Q4 of each year.
Home Depot's balance sheet held total assets of USD 109 billion at 2 Aug 2026. Goodwill and intangibles rose from USD 12.1 billion at the end of FY2023 to USD 28.5 billion a year later, which is where the SRS acquisition shows. Total debt rose to USD 53.1 billion at the end of FY2024 and was USD 48.6 billion at 2 Aug 2026. Net debt was USD 46.6 billion, our calculation.
Equity was below zero at the end of FY2021 and reached USD 16.6 billion at 2 Aug 2026. Current assets of USD 37.7 billion exceeded current liabilities of USD 35.0 billion, and inventory of USD 26.8 billion made up most of the current assets.
In Home Depot's cash flow statement, cash from operations was USD 16.3 billion in FY2025, below its FY2024 level. Capital expenditure rose every year from FY2021, to USD 3.68 billion in FY2025. Quarterly cash from operations ranged from USD 3.35 billion in Q4 FY2025 to USD 6.03 billion in Q1 FY2026.
Dividends paid were USD 9.15 billion in FY2025, up from USD 6.99 billion in FY2021, and buybacks were zero in FY2025. Diluted EPS was USD 14.23 per share in FY2025 against USD 15.53 per share in FY2021, on 995 million shares against 1,058 million shares. The per-share dividend row carries a substitution note.
