What the numbers show
JPMorgan Chase's income statement for Q2 2026, the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026, shows net income of USD 21.2 billion. Net interest income was USD 25.5 billion, the bank's earnings on loans and securities after funding costs. Non-interest income reached USD 31.8 billion, and the 10-Q lists an initial gain on the Visa share exchange within it. Together they made USD 57.3 billion of revenue by our calculation, up 27.7% on Q2 2025.
Net interest income accounted for most of the revenue increase across the five fiscal years. It rose from USD 52.3 billion in FY2021 to USD 95.4 billion in FY2025, a compound annual rate of 16.2%. Operating expenses grew at a lower rate than revenue, so the cost-to-income ratio, our calculation, fell from 58.6% to 52.4%. The FY2021 revenue change carries R: a later 10-K revised the FY2020 base.
Credit costs moved the other way. In FY2021 the provision for credit losses was negative, a net benefit of USD 9.26 billion as the allowance for credit losses shrank. By FY2025 it was a charge of USD 14.2 billion, and net income grew 4.2% a year over the four years. In Q2 2026 the provision was USD 2.5 billion, against USD 4.66 billion in Q4 2025, a D figure.
JPMorgan Chase's balance sheet reached USD 5.02 trillion of total assets at 30 Jun 2026, funded mainly by deposits of USD 2.71 trillion. Loans were USD 1.52 trillion, a loan-to-deposit ratio of 55.9%, against 43.1% at the end of FY2021. The other assets on the 10-Q balance sheet include cash, investment securities and trading assets. The 10-Q reports a total capital ratio of 17.0% under the Standardized approach at the same date.
A bank's cash flow statement reflects its balance sheet as well as its profit. The statement puts deposits under financing, most loan flows under investing and trading assets under operating activities. FY2025 shows an operating outflow of USD 148 billion and a financing inflow of USD 270 billion. Q2 2026 figures are half-year totals less Q1, marked D, with an operating outflow of USD 25.3 billion.
Diluted EPS was USD 7.70 per share in Q2 2026, against USD 5.24 per share a year earlier. The diluted count was 2,694 million shares, and repurchases used USD 6.79 billion of cash in the quarter, a D figure. Over FY2021 to FY2025, diluted EPS rose from USD 15.36 per share to USD 20.02 per share, while the diluted count fell. JPMorgan Chase stock fundamentals follows the buybacks by year.
